Resort complex “Semkovo” is nestled at the foot of Rila Mountain, about 1600 m above sea level.
A picturesque mountain road leads to Semkovo, and the complex itself is set on wide meadows surrounded by spruce and pine forests. From here you can see an impressive panorama to the majestic peaks of Rila and Pirin. Above the resort, at a height of 1750 meters, is located the Semkovo hut.
The Semkovo resort offers good opportunities for summer tourism and mountain biking. The resort is included in four of the seven eco-paths that are part of the development of ecotourism in Belitsa. (see “The Temple of Eternity,” “The Charm of the Peat,” “The Trail of the Glacier,” and “The Lord of the Mountains” tourist routes).
Many tourist routes with different difficulty to nearby and distant sites can be realized from the Semkovo complex. (http://www.semkovo.com/sum_paths.php). There are also two of the entrance and exit points of the National Park Rila.
