Belitsa is situated in Southwest Bulgaria, at a kind of a crossroad between three mountains Rila, Pirin and Rhodopes, occupying part of the territory of Rila National Park.
The things that attract tourists here are the exceptional natural features, the Semkovo Mountain Resort, the only one in Eastern Europe Park For Dancing Bears, preserved Revival Housing Architecture, archaeological monuments, Thracian sanctuaries, the ethnographic and folk wealth of the region. It is not by chance that Belitsa is one of the best EDEN destinations in Bulgaria. The rich history and ethnography are kept in the historic museum of the town.
The natural resources of the area allow Belitsa to offer opportunities for individual and collective tourism – eco, hobby, country, ski, mountain and other types. Biodiversity is presented in marked interpretive eco-paths of different themes.
