The eco-path goes through the forests and meadows of the resort Semkovo and gives you the opportunity to enjoy unique views of the Rila and Pirin Mountains. The different forest communities alternate along the route. Here are presented the warm-loving deciduous oak, the moisture-loving beech and the preferring cooler climates residents of northern latitudes – spruce and fir.
- Length: 9.5 km
- Duration: 3 h 30 min
From the “Semkovo” Complex a black forest road takes you through a spruce forest to the “Vasjovets” area, where the route goes out on a forest meadow filled with healing plants. It then continues to “Suho Selo” area in the direction of “Kriva ella” through a white-pine forest with blackberries and red berries.
The territory of the route includes the “trout” and “barbell” areas of rivers where at the marked fishing areas and during authorized seasons you can spend wonderful hours devoted to the favorite sport.
The Eco-path is very good for observing the different species of birds living in forest ecosystems.
