The eco-trail starts at “Semkovo” hut, goes through Rila National Park to reach the two lakes “Vapski” located southeast of Vapa peak.

The Ecopath “Follow the glacier” goes through mixed forest of pine and spruce, then entering the National Park Rila moves through the white fir communities to Vapski lakes. Both lakes are a wonderful example of glacial lakes, as such formations like circuses, moraines, glacial lakes, you can only see here – in the Rila and the neighboring Pirin Mountains. Vapski Lakes are inhabited by trout and common minnow and artificially stocked North American species – trout.
