The Vlahinski waterfall is located near the village Vlahi, next to the town of Kresna, hugged in the skirts of Pirin mountain.
The rocky area and the greenery make incredibly charming the waterfall full almost all year round. It is 20-25 m. high, and as the water falls straight down crashing on a little rock, forming a shallow pool. The waterfall is 15 minutes away from Vlahi village on a path starting from the church “Sveti Prorok Ilya (St. Prophet Elijah)”. After crossing a wooden bridge, take the left and after 10 minutes of transition, you can see the waterfall. A trail runs around the waterfall in a semicircle, allowing it to be viewed from different sides, but the Vlahinski Waterfall is majestic, seen from below. Access to the foothills is through a very steep and rocky slope. The descent can be described as extreme and even dangerous at some places. The Vlahinski Waterfall is preferred for “canyoning”- descent downhill on ropes under the water flow from top to foot.
Access to the village of Vlahi is from Kresna (there is a plate at E-79 road). After the railway crossing 5 km of the road are asphalt, the next 4 km are dirt road with several broken sections.
