The construction of the “Uspenie Bogorodichno” church started in 1878 and finished in 1882.
The church bell was cast in 1884 by masters from Samokov. The stones for the construction were extracted from the surrounding coulees with the help of ox carts. The church was consecrated in 1910. Speaking of architecture, it is a three-nave pseudo-basilica with an open gallery at the southern side. Of special value are the wooden ceilings richly decorated and painted; the decorative paintings on the columns (1898), and the pulpit.
The iconostasis is also painted, while the royal gates are covered with carvings. Of interest are also the 30 icons (1883) painted by the Molerov family from Bansko Icon-Painting School, the church furniture and two cast candelabra. There are also some icons coming from the Athos monasteries. The church has been designated a Monument of Culture of local importance.
