“Sveti Dimitar” Church was built to the southwest of the village, om the left bank of almost dry coulee.
It was built in 1850 and was burned twice in 1878 and in 1913. It was restored in 1919 when Palat is a municipal center of the villages of Vulkovo, Drakata and Mikrevo. The church has a large tremble that could collect up to 500 people, and the old school was found in the yard.
The bell-tower was built in 1860 separately from the church and is more than 10 m high. The bell itself weighs more than 100 kg and can be heard far through the mountains. It was cast in Samokov out of copper collected by local population. Beneath the bell-tower, there is a 20 m deep well that supplies the church with water. A monumental version of the Judgment Day is depicted on the western façade. The wall paintings on the interior walls and the iconostasis are from 1909 to 1910. Values are also the pottery and the disco of silver and the icons of the XVIII-XIX centuries.
