The “Eyes of History” route presents the history of the Momina Tower fortress and the surrounding area. They will tell you about the trade routes in the past of Bulgaria and specifically the road through the Momina Klisura, where the Momina Tower is built to guard the narrowest part between the mountains of Pirin and the Western Rhodopes. The tour will show you an unconventional look at the past of Southwest Bulgaria and especially the Mesta river valley. You will take a look at the life of the valley defenders hundreds of years ago and you will step into their home – the Momina Tower fortress.
