The city park is located on 56 acres in the central part of the town of Gotse Delchev and divides the old one from the new part of the town.
The city park is divided into two parts – one in the classical style of the thirties and the other in a landscape style from the middle of the 20th century. In the park there are an artificial lake, a fountain and a gazebo for the rest of the walkers. A specially designed and equipped outdoor fitness area and a playground are provided for children. The park also has a restaurant, a fountain and a public toilet. For cyclists there is a separate bicycle lane. In the park can be seen decorative tree species such as Japanese magnolia, Japanese cherry, red horse chestnut, Atlas and Himalayan cedar.
The park is a favorite place for the local people, tourists and guests. Throughout the year there are more and more cultural events taking place in the park – concerts, plenaries, competitions, competitions organized by different organizations.
The renovation of the park is under a project of Gotse Delchev Municipality, co-financed under OP “Regional Development” 2007 – 2013.
