Levunovo village is located 10 km south of Sandanski, near E-79 international road. During the First World War on this place were the headquarters of Second Bulgarian Army. Its head – general Todorov rebuilt the local church St. George and constructed the fountain as evidence for the bravery of the Bulgarian soldier.
