The object is located in the upper part of the village of Morodvis, 3 minutes’ walk from the ethno-house in the village of Morodvis, i.e. or 15 minutes from the bus stop.
A recognized and famous archaeological site, which is also placed on the archaeological map of Macedonia. It was discovered for the first time in 1980. Characteristic of this site is the discovery of 4 churches from different time periods in one place. The oldest one dates from the 5th to the 6th century, and the newer one is from the 16th. The other two churches are from the 11th and 13th centuries. In 1998, a veritable treasure trove of valuable objects belonging to various cultures dating back to the time of Justinian was discovered. In the bishopric of Morodivisi, the church buildings are an architectural rarity in the Balkans. New objects and other archaeological materials have been discovered that confirm previous discoveries about the way of life in the ancient Roman city of Morobisdon. Oysters, pieces of water-insoluble plaster, three graves, several copper coins and bracelets were found in the northwestern part of the site. All the items found are from the sarcophagus discovered in 1996, which has archaeological importance in the Balkans. In this place is the richest children’s tomb with ornaments and jewels. According to Trajkovski (senior archaeologist at the Museum of Macedonia, under whose leadership since 1980 the first church of the Morodovi bishopric was uncovered), these are arguments proving the existence of residential premises of the Mordovian bishopric such as a lobby, dining room and bath, and the arguments that explain burial ritual in the 12th and 13th centuries.
The site is in poor condition and is overgrown with grass and bushes during the summer. Continuous maintenance of the site by the competent institutions is necessary. (Responsibilities for protection, maintenance and presentation fall to the Department for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Kochani.). The site has a hidden grave of former priests, which unfortunately was robbed in the past.
