The church “St. Archangel Michael” – in the village of Krupnik was built between 1932 and 1935.
It is located in the center of the village and is unique by being at the same time domed, cruciform and ship formed.
Church paintings are dated from the period 1971-1974 year and are the work of the artist Pantaley Seferov. Icons and wood-carving are made by craftsmen from the Razlog-Bansko school. Above the iconostasis is an Old-Slavic inscription.In the XV – XVI century the village of Krupnik was the center of the diocese headed by the bishop. In the second half of the sixteenth century, Metropolitan of the Krupnik Diocese was Josif. On his initiative is made the Krupnik Gospel – a handwritten collection of texts of the four Gospels. Krupnik Gospel was donated in 1577 to the Rila Monastery.
