The big waterfall is an interesting site for tourists because it was created in a strange way. An interesting fact is that on the territory of the current artificial lake, somewhere fifty years ago the village of Dolno Gradce was located, but then authorities in order to protect Kocani from the constant floods from the waters coming from Osogovo mountain, decided to build a dam at the place called “Flat scale” that was located just below the village and was ideal dam place.
In 1958, an ancillary dam of stone blocks was built, whose function was to prevent a sudden outburst of water towards the site “Flat scale – Ramna skala” where the dam was built. From the flown branches, stones and soil, the auxiliary dam started to be filled with soil, so over the years a beautiful waterfall with a height of twenty meters, from the waters of Golema River was created, from where these waters flow into the artificial lake.

- Accessibility: Access from the dam to the site is by walking or with a bicycle. You can reach the site also by private car or taxi on an asphalt road and before arriving there is about 200 meters to walk on a goat path.
