Roman bridge is a part of the ancient Roman road connecting the lands north of Kresna Gorge with the Aegean Sea. It was built in Late Antiquity – V-VI century. The Roman Bridge is located 10 minutes northwest of the center of Melnik. The bridge was built in Roman times over Melnishka river. A trail passes past the church of Saint John the Baptist. At present the church “St. John the Baptist” acts as a cemetery church in the town of Melnik.
