The route covers the villages along the A3 highway (the village of Banya, the village of Spanchevo, the village of Sokolartsi and the village of Novoselani).
Spanchevo village – Archaeological site “St. Athanasius”
In the archaeological site St. Athanasius “, near the village of Spanchevo in Kochan, in recent years, in two research campaigns, significant artifacts from the Eneolithic period, 4th century BC, have been discovered.
Objects made of ceramics, clay, shells and female figures in various forms were discovered. According to the experts from the Museum of Macedonia, the most significant discovered object is a figure of a male head, a rare specimen, which also enriches the collection of rare artifacts from this Eneolithic archaeological site. The discovered artefacts, according to archaeologists, are identical to the artefacts found at the archaeological site of Pilavo, near the village of Burilchevo, Kochansko, which confirms the connection of these two sites on the left and right side of Bregalnitsa.
Spanchevo village – Monument “Nikola Karev” near the village. Silkanovo
The route includes a visit to the “Nikola Karev” monument. In the future, it is planned to build a historical park there, which will make this place attractive for tourists. Thematic and historical excursions can be organized here.
Monument to Nikola Karev – Cheshinovo – Obleshevo
On April 27, 1905, Nikola Karev, a participant in the Macedonian revolutionary movement, member and leader of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization and chairman of the Krushev Republic, died near the village of Rajchani in the area of Svilanovo.
At this place there is a monument, which every year is visited by a large number of visitors who pay tribute to the first president of the first republic of the Balkans. Tourist attractions: Monument to Nikola Karev.
