Route: Melnik – Rozhen Monastery – Zlatolist – KatuntsiTransfer from Sandanski to Melnik (400 м asl). We are surrounded by whimsical rock pyramids and we start our outrageous ascend to the Rozhen Monastery (700 м asl) – the religious center of the Pirin region, lunch. We head towards St. George church – clairvoyant Stoyna’s home (forerunner of clairvoyant Vanga) in the village of Zlatolist (376 м asl). We continue to the village of Katuntsi (160 м asl).
