On 07.07.2017 An Ethnographic Museum has been opened in the courtyard of the “Holy Sunday” Church.
The exposition is arranged in the restored building of the former cell school, which was the first in the municipality of Sandanski. In the courtyard of the church there is another temple “Holy Mother of God”. The church “St. “Sunday” has existed since 1812. For the creation of the museum, the inhabitants of the village are involved with personal belongings.
The village of Debrene is located in the western branches of Pirin, at an altitude of about 500 m. The Bozhdovska river flows through the village. In the village, there are preserved Rhodopean Revival houses with a strong influence of the Ograzhdensko-Malesevo house, of which 17 are cultural monuments.
