St. Archangel Michael Church is a Bulgarian Renaissance church, built in 1860.
Architecturally it is a small stone one-nave building with a semi-cylindrical apse to the east, a female church to the west and open prostyle on the south and west. There are two entrances – from the south and west. Lighting is provided by seven windows on the north and south walls and two on the altar.
Interior design is original. The iconostasis is wooden, with a rough carving on the wreath and the royal gates, and is painted with icons in three rows. The Royal icon of St. Nicolas dates back to 1862. The small icons are made by a painter from Bansko, who painted the church between 1896 and 1898. On the western facade is painted the rarely encountered scene “Christ kills the Antichrist”.
It was declared a cultural monument of national importance.
