The Wild Animals’ Center – Rakitna has a 9-cell vultures breeding cellar and a service room located on a 2.4 ha fenced area.
The center has also released and breeding deer and center for tortoises. The center provides information on the state of the local flora and fauna, its problems and decisions to solve them. The center promotes local customs, history and culture by providing free advertising to a wide audience of any business initiative that is non-threatening the nature in the villages of Mechkul and Brezhani. The Center provides opportunities for different types of tourism – capturing and monitoring deer and vultures at close, riding around the village, safari by horse and wagon tours for bird watching, photo hunting, archery and jeep safari in Pirin Mountain. A Rakitna Information Center has been set up to the center to serve tourists.
Rakitna Information Center offers:

– Assistance in organizing the stay of tourists / accommodation, tourist program, etc. /
