BODROST” TO THE “SEMKOVO”

Specialized route for cycling and horse tourism” from the resort “Bodrost” to the “Semkovo” resort complex.

It starts from Bodrost resort, passes through Kartalska Polyana location, along the route to Macedonia hut, from the chalet continues towards Karaalanitsa to Semkovo resort. This is the first stage of the implementation of the specialized horse and cycling route, within the park, which should reach the Belmeken dam, with a total length of 80 km.

Information signboards are placed along the route, 15 of them basic ones containing useful information about the protected area and the specialized route. Along the route, at some places wooden fences are placed. At the beginning and at the end of the route there are recreation areas. They are located in “Kartalska Polyana”, Blagoevgrad and “Karaalanitsa”, Belitsa. Wooden sheds for 20 people with tables and benches were built in both places. Indicative signposts for adjacent tourist sites, wooden sheds for resting horses, bicycle stands and sanitary facilities are provided.

The purpose of the specialized route is to reduce the anthropogenic pressure in the conservation of habitats and species, to reduce erosion, to redirect the tourist site to places with a lower occupancy during the active tourist season.
