The church was built in 1898 at on the site of an older church and is an artistic monument of culture of national importance.
It is a three-nave pseudo-basilica with a bell tower, and the arcade of the central ship is decorated with frescoes (medallions). The iconostasis is large and imitates marble. Some of the iconostasis icons are from 1836 – an inheritance from the previous smaller temple, and the others are from 1868 – the work of Sergi Georgiev.
