The artificial lake accumulation “Gradce” is located at the foothills of the Osogovo Mountains in a beautifully picturesque gorge, with a very attractive environment. The accumulation is with length of 3.5 km north-south, width from 150 to 200 m and maximum depth of 29 m in the southern part of the lake near the dam (crown). On the north side of the lake Mala and Golema Reka are flowing and forming the Kochana River.
The lake was formed in 1959 near the former village of Dolno Gradce.
The surface of the accumulation is 0.19 km2, accumulates water of 2.4 million m3 that is used for industrial needs and for irrigation of 576 hectares of arable land in Kocansko Pole. Apart from commercial, Lake Gradce also has a tourist-recreational character, and on its coast there are two facilities with catering character and a hotel. On the northern side of the lake, at the inlet of Mala and Golema Reka is the archaeological site Dolno Gradiste.
